CAEs: It’s Time to Start Planning Your Fall Events

Reading Time: 2 minutes

With summer coming to a close and Autumn quickly approaching, people are starting to settle in from vacations and get back to reality. Now’s the perfect time to re-engage your existing clients in a low-pressure and entertaining setting and start planning some fun Client Appreciation Events (CAEs).

Your clients are the reason for your success, so it’s important you show them and their loved ones how much their business means to you and your team, which also helps with retention, generating additional business, and referrals.

Take advantage of the Autumn weather and landscapes. Just because it’s chillier doesn’t mean you have to take it indoors just yet. There are so many unique ways to get outdoors with your clients for nice, high-end events:

  • Football Game
  • Tailgating Party
  • End-of-the-Season Baseball Game
  • Soccer Game
  • Riverfront/Oceanfront Cruise
  • Winery Tour
  • Food Festival
  • Music Festival
  • Pumpkin Patch Party
  • Park Day

Another great idea is to keep it regional! If you live on the coast and weather permits, do something that involves boating. If you live somewhere where music or food festivals are popular, partner with a local festival and rent a tent exclusively for your clients. That way, they can sit comfortably and enjoy the festival without the crazy crowds. If you live in a big city, try renting out a venue that just opened and is gaining in popularity, or grab a spot in a well-known historic venue or museum.

There are also more adventurous routes, like renting out a skeet shooting range. The point is to custom-tailor your event to your demographic and your part of the country. The best-attended events are usually those that either clients don’t always get to go to or that have huge draws in your area. That’s where your aim should be.

Clients love being a part of something like CAEs, and they encourage them to not only attend future events but also consider you when their family and friends are looking for a financial advisor.

And you don’t have to spend a lot of money and time on a great CAE. You can always rent a space in more of an intimate setting for a smaller group, or host a gathering in a free venue, like a park.

Your Marketing Manager at Impact can explore these ideas with you to determine what would be the best event for your practice, budget, and demographic. Contact your Marketing Manager to start planning your next CAE. Don’t let Autumn slip away without taking advantage of a great opportunity!
