Hosting the perfect summer client appreciation event

Reading Time: 2 minutes

With summer quickly approaching, we want to make sure that your practice stays busy!

Your clients want to feel appreciated, why not use the summer “downtime” to show them how much you care?

Don’t make a huge fuss over summer events. Keep them low-key and be sure to let your clients know that they can bring a friend. These events should be easy to host and repeatable. Here are a few examples:

Hold a wine tasting the first Friday of each month. You can serve various wines and hors d’oeuvres, and have a nice evening with your clients and their friends.

For a once-in-a-lifetime event that is sure to be fun for all ages, plan an Eclipse party! On August 21, a total solar eclipse will sweep across the continental United States from Oregon to Georgia. Solar eclipses are exciting and capture our imaginations, and this is a great way to host a very unique event!

Don’t forget about size! Events can vary in size based on what event you choose to do. A wine or beer tasting event works best for groups of 20 people or less. Other events like a movie premiere or antique review are good for groups of 75 people or more.

Client events build strong relationships with your clients and assist in building a consistent referral program, drive AUM business and client retention, as well as bring in extra revenue. These relationships don’t stop growing in the summer months! If anything, summer provides even more opportunities for clients to join in on the referral fun.

Worried about what your allowed to give clients at referral events? Impact’s marketing team has built out a library of ideas that are sure to fit any audience and budget. And Impact’s compliance team is available to assist with any questions you may have about gifting.
