Impact’s Year in Review

Reading Time: 4 minutes

This year was a big one for us. We made a lot of changes and covered a lot of ground, both figuratively and literally! Here are some of our 2019 highlights:

1. Voted one of Atlanta’s best places to work

In early 2019, we were chosen as one of the best places to work in Atlanta by the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. After conducting employee satisfaction surveys, we and 255 other area companies were chosen to receive this honor. We are so proud of our incredible team and all the hard work they put in each and every day.

2. Partnership with Jesse Itzler & 29029 Climbs

We worked with entrepreneur and bestselling author Jesse Itzler to motivate and excite our teammates and advisors throughout the year. Jesse has lots of inspiring stories to tell, from his career as a musician to how he created Marquis Jet and sold it to Warren Buffet.

In addition to his impressive business and literary accomplishments, Jesse is also an endurance athlete. He created the 29029 Everest Challenge to push participants to new heights – literally. Over the course of a single weekend, participants have 36 hours to complete as many ascents of a mountain as possible. After climbing 29,029 feet, they’ve summited the equivalent of Mount Everest – and discovered a thing or two about perseverance. In 2019, Impact teammates and advisors alike took on the challenges in Utah and Vermont. Read more about the climbs in our blog post and exposure gallery.

3. Aruba

A select group of Impact’s top advisors and their guests joined the Impact team at the luxurious Ritz-Carlton Aruba resort for four days of networking, relaxation, and celebration. After a business meeting to discuss updates, media strategies, and marketing tactics for the upcoming quarter, attendees enjoyed island activities and traditional Caribbean fare. 4. The Game Changer

This year saw the launch of a brand-new growth and training event for prospective Impact advisors. We brought them out to Atlanta to show them everything we’ve got and how we can help them grow their practices exponentially. Each event included motivational speakers, presentations from real Impact advisors, tours of the office, and more.

5. OnTour with Journey

In October, Impact’s top radio advisors flew to Las Vegas to meet and interview the band Journey during their residency at Caesar’s Palace. Attendees were treated to a concert and got to speak with the band members one-on-one to get credibility-boosting content for their radio shows.

6. Marcom Awards

For the third year running, we were honored to receive seven Marcom Awards, including three honorable mentions, three gold awards, and one platinum award. The Marcom Awards celebrate exceptional marketing and communications projects and campaigns from all over the world. This year’s winners also included AARP, Microsoft, Morgan Stanley, and Lowe’s.

7. Fourth annual food drive

This year was our fourth annual food drive, and the second under the Impacting Lives initiative. We set an ambitious goal of donating 20,000 pieces of food to the CAYA Food Pantry in nearby Dallas. We turned it into a little competition, and all five teams came together to donate over 27,000 food items, stocking the pantry for over a year. What a great way to kick off the holiday season! Read more about this year’s food drive on our blog.

8. New website launch

At Impact, we love a refresh, and this year it was our turn. We launched our brand-new website in early December, unveiling new features like a direct mail savings calculator, new videos and blogs, and more. Check it out now!

We are so grateful to have experienced another year of explosive growth, and we are honored to work with such dedicated advisors. We wish you a happy, safe, and successful new year. See you in 2020!
