1 - Point website hosting to Impact only. (CNAME or A record) - Up to 48 hours
This option points your website to Impact's hosting while leaving your email, domain ownership, and all other DNS settings exactly where they are. To complete this, we'll need login access to your domain registrar (the company where you purchased your domain, such as GoDaddy, Namecheap, or Network Solutions) so our team can update the CNAME or A record on your behalf.
This option is best if you only need your website hosted by Impact and want to keep everything else managed by your current provider.
2 - Transfer full DNS management to Impact. (Change nameservers) - 1-4 days
This option moves complete control of your domain's DNS to Impact, meaning our team will manage all DNS records going forward — including website hosting, email, and any future changes.
To complete this transfer, we'll need login access to your domain registrar (the company where you purchased your domain, such as GoDaddy, Namecheap, or Network Solutions). Once we update the nameservers, Impact becomes the manager of your DNS zone file and can make all future updates on your behalf without needing to contact you each time.
This is the recommended option if you want Impact to handle all DNS-related updates going forward.
3 - Update specific DNS records on my behalf. (One-time access) - Up to 48 hours
This option allows Impact to log into your domain registrar and make a specific DNS record update without changing your overall hosting setup or transferring DNS management to Impact. You retain full ownership and control of your domain, we make the requested change and nothing else.
To complete this, we'll need temporary login access to your domain registrar (the company where you purchased your domain, such as GoDaddy, Namecheap, or Network Solutions).
This option is best if Impact has requested a specific DNS record update and you want our team to handle it directly.
